A good lanyard starts long before the logo is printed or the hook is attached. It starts with the webbing.

In this video, we take you inside the LOVECOLOUR ribbon weaving workshop, where polyester yarn is turned into webbing for custom lanyards, wristbands, short straps and other branded textile products.

With 30 weaving machines and an integrated production system, we control the webbing structure, width, thickness and surface finish from the beginning. This helps us maintain more consistent quality from sample approval to bulk production—especially for repeat orders and long-term supply programs.

What Happens in Our Weaving Workshop?

The weaving process may look simple on video, but small production details can make a big difference to the finished product.

Our team checks the yarn arrangement, weaving tension, webbing width and surface condition throughout production. After weaving, the material may also go through heat setting and further preparation according to its final application.

This process helps us produce webbing with:

Custom Webbing Materials We Manufacture

We produce different types of custom webbing for promotional, identification, event and industrial applications.

Polyester Webbing

Polyester is the most widely used material for custom lanyards. It offers a good balance of softness, durability, print performance and cost. It can be used for screen-printed lanyards, sublimation lanyards, wrist straps and general promotional products.

Nylon Webbing

Nylon has a smoother surface and a slightly brighter appearance. It is suitable for projects that require a refined finish, clear logo printing or increased strength.

Woven and Jacquard Webbing

With jacquard production, the logo or pattern is woven directly into the webbing rather than printed only on the surface. This creates a durable branded effect for lanyards, bag straps, apparel accessories and repeat-use products.

Tubular Webbing

Tubular polyester webbing has a softer, rounded structure. It is commonly selected for lightweight lanyards and projects where comfort is a priority.

Recycled rPET Webbing

For brands looking for a more responsible material option, we can also produce webbing made from recycled PET yarn. Colors, widths and logo methods can be customized according to the project.

Elastic Webbing

Our elastic webbing is used for custom elastic wristbands, wearable event products and textile accessories. The width, elasticity, base color and woven or printed logo can be developed according to the buyer’s requirements.

Polyester Webbing for Lanyards and Sublimation Printing

We also manufacture plain polyester webbing for lanyard producers, printing companies, promotional product distributors and other B2B buyers.

For sublimation printing, the webbing surface needs to be smooth, clean and stable under heat. Uneven texture, inconsistent thickness or poor heat-setting can affect both color transfer and printing efficiency.

Our plain white polyester lanyard webbing can be developed in commonly requested widths such as:

The thickness, weight, softness and packing method can be adjusted to match the buyer’s printing equipment and production process.
